This little coin purse is a lovely quick make, perfect for keeping those coins or bank cards safe. It makes a charming gift, or why not make one for yourself.
The heart uses the foundation paper piecing (FPP) technique, paired with Improv piecing. It’s liberating and fun because you make your design and colour choices as you go along, which means each coin purse will be different! It’s really very easy, and a great way to try this technique on a small project without committing to a big quilt.
Great British Quilter is excited to have paired with Oakshott Fabrics to provide a fat eighth bundle for this project, which is available at www.oakshottfabrics.com
Enjoy pairing the precision of FPP with the freedom of Improv quilting!
Please note: This pattern does assume knowledge of FPP. There is a free tutorial on the blog to make the heart if you are a beginner to FPP.
